Around the time my trip to the United states was nearing it's end, I realized something was wrong...' I hadn't eaten a hamburger!' I couldn't believe that I had come to the United states and not had a hamburger. OMG

 

Upon learning this fact my friend took me to a restaurant called 'The Table', famous for its brunch in San jose. 'The table''s burger is famous as its brunch. Forget about Five Guys or In-N-Out!!!! 'The table' burger was enough to make me feel truly happy.

It was quite empty inside restaurant, perhaps because we arrived during happy hour. I've heard that 'The table' can have a considerable wait time during busy hours. I suggest you go to 'The table' if you are planning to have just the burger. 

 

It was a bit disappointing that when I ordered water and juice, the water took quite a while to arrive, as if they had fetched water from a river :p When I asked for water a second time, she never came back. I could understand if the restaurant was very busy, but it wasn't. Nevertheless, they still gladly accepted the tip. 

 

 

The french fries were pretty average, but the sauce was truly fantastic. I expected to be heavy with oily ingredients, but after dipping them, I couldn't stop myself to have french fries with the sauce, I didn't even glance at the ketchup on the side. 

Let me guess the ingredients in the sauce, the white creamy part might be mayonnaise or sour cream, and another ingredients could be olive oil and rosemary poweder?

 

If I eat this sauce everyday, I would probably gain a lot of weight, but I thought it would make my heart happy. 

 

 

Finally, I met the American burger! The bun tha tholds the patty seemed like it might not be the store-bought- kind but something homemade with a coarse texture( or maybe not). The bun was crispy and had a rich flavor. 

 

The burger patty was the tastiest I've had in the United states, I couldn't even remember that the taste of other foods I've had in US. It was perfectly cooked with a great texture of biting into. The melted cheese on top complemented it really well.

 

Usually, after eating a burger, I feel like I've had junk food and it brings my mood down. However 'The table''s burger made my day enjoyable. 

 

Now that I'm back in South Korea, there's nothing I miss from the foods I had in the US. Well except for 'The table' 's burger! If you are planning a trip to San Jose, I highly Recommend stopping by!
